UK Centre for Carnival Arts launch film
Everything about making a film for the UKCCA is a visual and audio dream. Vibrant colours, pulsing music and endless creativity are at its heart.
Filming for the documentary involved filming at the Luton International Carnival, the key handover ceremony, mas camps (the places where the costumes are made) in both London and Luton as well as education events for schools held at the Centre. The climax of the film was the spectacular Grand Launch itself, across two venues in Luton. We took a multi camera approach to the event so that we didn’t miss any of the fast paced action. Working on this video gave us the privilege of meeting and interviewing some of the big names in Carnival Arts and allowing us to tell this inspirational story.
We had previously worked with the UK Centre for Carnival Arts in 2008, producing a 10 minute video as part of their submission to the ‘Enterprising Britain Awards 2008’, which they won for the East of England in this year. It was the success of this film that earnt us the launch commission.

Films for other sectors
Whilst we specialise in films for public sector organisations and housing providers there are many other sectors for which our film making skills and approach are ideal.
We like to make films that are people focused and therefore charities, small businesses and arts bodies have all commissioned us.
Every film is different. Here are just three ways that film can help you achieve your communication objectives:
- A film on your website will improve your google ratings.
- Seeing is believing. If you have film on your website people are 75% more likely to watch it than read any text.
- All our films are broadcast quality so can be used on your website, shown on a large screen at an exhibition or played in a meeting to potential clients, sponsors or service users.
If you like what you see please do get in touch. We’d love to help.
