Resident involvement films for GreenSquare
Often when we make a film for a housing association we work with the Resident Involvement team. For GreenSquare, we did just that and made them a series of films that can either be shown on their own or together as a 25 minute film.
GreenSquare is made up of Oxford Citizen’s Housing Association and Westlea Housing and they are currently combining to become one. As GreenSquare, they will offer a lot more opportunities for residents to get involved. Our films explain the many options open to residents, from things that don’t require much time, such as filling in a survey, to bigger commitments such as sitting on the Board. Our case study films focused on several residents who explained what they did, what difference it made to GreenSquare and how they personally benefited from being involved.
Here’s what Helen Barbrook (Westlea Housing) and Wendy Spray (Oxford Citizen’s Housing Association) said about working with us:
‘The residents chose End 2 End Productions at interview as they felt they had a friendly approach and produced films that showed enthusiasm for the subject. End 2 End Productions were very easy to work with, came up with lots of helpful suggestions and made the residents feel really comfortable. They produced a film that had very professional production values and did not lose the feel of what we wanted to portray - that volunteering with us can be fun and interesting. Everyone who has seen the film has really liked it.’

Films for the housing sector
We specialise in films for housing providers. So far, twelve housing organisations have turned to us when they wanted their communications with their residents and stakeholders to be more accessible, easier to understand and to generate a positive reaction.
Our housing clients include A2Dominion, Gallions, Shepherds Bush Housing Group and all of the Community Gateway Housing Associations. Every film is different. Here are just five ways that film can help you achieve your communication objectives:
- Promotional films that introduce your organisation.
- 'How to' films to explain processes, such as 'reporting repairs'.
- Films that capture and promote focus groups and events.
- Films that accompany documents such as tenancy agreements or funding applications.
- Films that encourage residents to participate in your resident involvement opportunities.
