English Heritage launch Corporate Plan
Through careful planning and consultation we produced high quality footage that shows off the aesthetics of Apsley House whilst being sensitive to its conservation. The brief was to capture speeches and short interviews from the event that would be viewed on the English Heritage website.
A recee, prior to the event, allowed us to liaise with the house manager, event organiser and the company providing the audio/visual production for the event. Apsley House is home to about 200 of the finest works of art in London. To avoid the use of powerful and heat emitting lights that might damage the artwork, we discussed ways in which the set up could best utilise natural daylight. We agreed also that some cooler, dimmable lamps, situated a safe distance from the walls of the room, could be used to bring up the lighting on the speakers.
We think that, despite any restrictions, the benefits of filming in beautiful historic locations, far outweigh the negatives. With careful and considerate planning and consultation, quality needn’t be compromised.

Films for the public sector
Film is an incredibly effective (not to mention cost effective) way of informing and engaging.
We've worked with many public sector organisations and understand the increasing need to communicate with a range of audiences – from the general public to staff and stakeholders.
People respond to people. The stars of our films are the staff and service users themselves. We've found that stories told with honesty and passion have a far greater impact than ‘flashy’ titles and graphics. It’s certainly more cost effective.
Every film is different. Here are just five ways that film can help you achieve your communication objectives:
- Promotional films to introduce your whole organisation
- Films that record events such as launches and AGMs – making them available to a wider audience.
- Films that document and promote a particular project.
- Films to encourage more sponsors.
- Films that promote events, such as family days out.
