Our clients: Housing sector

A2Dominion

In 2010 we made a film to explain to A2Dominion residents how to make a complaint. We’ve since been commissioned to make six more ‘how to’ films for them.

Community Gateway Association (Preston)

CGA was the first community gateway housing association. They were part of the joint film that we made for all the community gateway housing associations. The film explained the model and was used as their submission to the Tenant Services Authority's National Conversation. We also gave it a longer shelf life by making a second version that didn't mention the consultation for all four organisations to use on their websites and at presentations.

Gallions Housing Association

We've made all the films on the Gallions YouTube channel. These range from an update on a building project to a montage film of their residents' conference.

Greenfields Community Housing

Greenfields were part of the joint film that we made for all the community gateway housing associations. The film explained the model and was used as their submission to the Tenant Services Authority's National Conversation. We also gave it a longer shelf life by making a second version that didn't mention the consultation for all four organisations to use on their websites and at presentations.

GreenSquare

We made a film about resident involvement for GreenSquare, which was combining with Westlea Housing and Oxford Citizens Housing Association to become one organisation. The film can either be watched all the way through or as individual sections. It covers the variety of ways that residents can get involved - from sitting on the Board to filling in a survey.

Hexagon Housing

Hexagon's very successful Academy programme helps their residents get back to work. Our film helped them promote it to funders, stakeholders and other residents who might like to get involved.

Life Opportunities Trust

Life Opportunities Trust provides residential and supported living services for adults with learning disabilities. We made a 10 minute video for LOT highlighting their amazing work of enabling people to develop and lead fulfilling lives in the community. LOT use the film at exhibitions, presentations and as part of tender applications to local authorities.

Phoenix Community Housing

The first housing association that we worked for was Phoenix Community Housing. It was because we enjoyed working with them so much that we decided to specialise in the housing sector. They were a stock transfer from Lewisham Council and when they launched we made a film to explain to residents what being part of a community gateway housing association would mean to them.

Shepherds Bush Housing Group

SBHG wanted to explain to residents, in a very accessible way, the checks they should make before reporting a repair. They wanted to make it easier for residents to report repairs and help them carry out some easy jobs themselves. In turn, this would allow the repairs team to focus on urgent repairs.

Soha

Early in 2011, Soha won a Tenant Services Authority award to run some tenant-led seminars that would explain their co-regulation model to other housing providers. They asked us to make an overview film of the model. This was then shown at the seminars.

Tenant Services Authority

When the TSA saw our film at the National Conversation event organised by the four community gateway housing associations, they were very impressed. They asked us to make a short, more general, version of the film, using just the footage from Watford Community Housing Trust for their website.

Watford Community Housing Trust

WCHT were part of the joint film that we made for all the community gateway housing associations. The film explained the model and was used as their submission to the Tenant Services Authority's National Conversation. We also gave it a longer shelf life by making a second version that didn't mention the consultation for all four organisations to use on their websites and at presentations.

Our clients: Public sector

English Heritage

We’ve filmed several events for English Heritage. These have ranged from a Question Time event for stakeholders, to a presentation to staff from Simon Thurley, Chief Executive. In 2011 we also filmed the Festival of History – their largest re-enactment event and made promotional films for the following year’s event.

Equality and Human Rights Commission

The EHRC do some great work with young people. We’ve made three promotional films for different projects within this – a self portrait art competition, a summer camp and a debate about bullying. We also filmed the launch of their Working Better policy and an interview with Michael Cashman MEP and gay rights campaigner.

South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust

The film that we made for SLAM is not yet launched, but as soon as it is we'll be able to give more details.

National Pathology Week

We've made two films for National Pathology week. The first explains what pathology is and the second is about screening. These were used on NPW website and at various events.

Our clients: Other sectors

Activitymix

Activitymix run employee engagement programmes for large corporate organisations, and organise corporate decathlons, where the companies compete against each other. We filmed for one day to capture the essence of the business and to encourage others to get involved. The promotional film is now on the homepage of the Activitymix website and shown at exhibitions.

Aurora Health Foundation

Often when we make a film we make two versions. The first might be for a specific event and the second will have a longer shelf life. This was exactly what we did for the AHF. Our first film for them was for a focused towards an event, but we made sure that we had enough footage to make a more general film about the organisation. This is the version they now use on their website and at presentations.

Finalmed

Finalmed is a revision course for medical students. They wanted visitors to their website to quickly learn about the course and hear from other students why it was so crucial to their revision. Our testimonial film does just this and is also useful for the course directors when they are out and about promoting Finalmed.

Taste of the Grape

Taste of the Grape asked us to make a film to promote their wine tasting business, which showed clients having fun, but at the same time learning about wine in an interesting way. The film is uploaded to YouTube and embedded on the home page of the website.

UK Centre for Carnival Arts

We were commissioned to make a film documenting the series of events leading up to the launch of the UK Centre for Carnival Arts – a brand new, £7.4 million centre. The final film promotes the centre to the carnival community, local people, funders and other stakeholders.
