As our name suggests, we can help you
with the whole process of making your film –
from the initial concept to the finished film.

Stage 1

Conversations
and quotations

Many of the people that ask us to make a film have never commissioned one before. It is our job to help you through that process. We'll make it an enjoyable experience for all involved and most of all make sure the finished film meets your communication needs.

By asking the right questions and listening to your
needs we can plan appropriately.

We believe that small is beautiful and in our case a small team helps keep things focused. You will deal directly with Mark and Victoria throughout the whole process, so your film doesn't get lost in translation.

It's really important to us that you understand the whole process and the implications of each decision. Our quotes are laid out very clearly, so you can see exactly how much each element of the film will cost. We'll also give several options so that you can pick the one that best suits your needs and budget.
HOW TO WRITE A FILM BRIEF
Stage 2

It's all in the planning

Once we have the go ahead, we will plan your film very carefully.

Working with you, we'll put together an extensive treatment and script. The script provides a comprehensive and descriptive guide to the whole production. It includes locations, shot types, sequences, participants, dates and timings. It won't always have word for word verbal content, most often it will include a list of questions for us to ask participants, so that they can tell their story in a natural way. There is always a period of consultation and when you are completely satisfied we will ask you to sign off your script.

HOW TO GET THE MOST FROM YOUR BUDGET
Stage 3

Filming

If it is planned properly, a lot can be achieved in a day of filming. We use our experience of working with lots of different organisations to help you get the most out of the available shooting time.

We are experienced in working with different people in different situations, most of whom have never been on film before. By putting them at ease, explaining the process and allowing them to relax we get the best from all who participate. Nothing gives us more pleasure than seeing someone who was initially nervous, shine in front of the camera.

Everything we produce is broadcast quality, so you'll notice, for example, that we use different microphones for different situations. We also make sure that all our interviews are framed perfectly and lit professionally. This gives your film credibility and means that it can be shown on a variety of platforms from websites to a large screen at an event.
HOW TO MAKE A 'HOW TO' FILM
Stage 4

Editing

We do all the editing in our own studio.

Working to the agreed script we put together a first draft 'rough cut' of your film and send it over to you for comments. Once the film is agreed we produce the final versions that you require. We can make any number of format conversions suitable for your website, the wider internet and any other platforms you wish to show it on. We can also organise DVDs or memory sticks for you to distribute your film on.
